WASH YOUR HANDS A LOT

Make sure to wash your hands many times a day. Do this especially before you eat or after you come back from somewhere. This is the best thing you can do to help keep germs away.

COVER UP WHEN YOU COUGH OR SNEEZE

When you cough or sneeze, use a tissue or your elbow to cover your mouth. This will help stop germs from spreading.

KEEP YOUR HOME CLEAN

Clean things that you touch a lot, like doorknobs, tables and bathrooms. If you’re having people over, this is really important.

GET YOUR SHOTS

It’s good to get your flu shot and COVID-19 shot. These shots will help keep you from getting sick. Call 262-656-0044 to schedule an appointment today!

EAT HEALTHY FOODS

Try not to eat too many Christmas cookies! Do your best to eat lots of fruits, veggies, lean meats, and whole grains. These foods help your body fight off germs.

DRINK PLENTY OF WATER

Drinking water is good for you. Your body is 45% to 65% water, so you need it for your body to work well.

MOVE AROUND AND HAVE FUN

Doing things like walking or playing games helps keep you healthy. If it’s cold outside consider indoor activities at the Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha or Kenosha YMCA.

SLEEP WELL

Try to sleep for 7 to 9 hours each night. Sleeping well helps your body replenish and stay strong.

DON’T STRESS OUT

Find ways to relax. You could try deep breathing, listening to calm music or reading a good book.

DON’T SMOKE AND DRINK LESS ALCOHOL

Smoking can hurt your lungs, and too much alcohol isn’t good for you.

TEACH KIDS TO STAY HEALTHY TOO

Show kids how to stay healthy. Set a good example. Teach them to wash their hands, eat right, and move around.

KEEP UP WITH HEALTH NEWS

Listen to what health experts say, especially about the flu, COVID-19 and RSV.
