What made you choose a healthcare career?
I chose a career in healthcare, specifically clinical social work, because I am passionate about mental health and serving my community and the individuals in it.
What types of care do you provide and what sets your care apart?
My approach to care is a bit eclectic. I work in variety of modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, DBT informed therapy, Acceptance and Commitment therapy, and trauma-informed therapy.
What’s you’re patient care philosophy?
My patient care philosophy is person-centered with an emphasis on looking at an individual as a whole. I believe that a person’s social, emotional, physical and cultural aspects are critical to understanding their story and facilitating lasting, meaningful change.
What can patients look forward to when they visit you?
Clients can look forward to a consistent, supportive environment, with a dose of humor when appropriate. As a clinician I prefer a more informal approach, while still holding space to navigate life’s challenges.
