Find Support and Connection Through Group Therapy
Group therapy provides an opportunity to work toward better mental health alongside others who may be navigating similar experiences. Guided by a behavioral health professional, group sessions can help participants develop coping skills, gain new perspectives, practice healthier ways of communicating and recognize that they are not alone in the challenges they face.
Pillar Health and Kenosha Community Health Center (KCHC) provide behavioral health services in Kenosha, Silver Lake and Racine, Wisconsin, making mental health support accessible throughout Southeast Wisconsin, including western Kenosha County.
What Is Group Therapy?
Group therapy brings a small group of participants together with a trained behavioral health professional. Unlike an informal support group, group psychotherapy uses therapeutic strategies and structured discussion to help participants address specific concerns, develop skills and work toward individual mental health goals.
Depending on the group and participants’ needs, sessions may focus on education, skill development, emotional processing, communication or practicing strategies that can be used outside of therapy.
Pillar Health’s psychotherapy services include individual, couples and group therapy grounded in a variety of evidence-based treatments.
