In your role as Clinical Educator what expectations are you setting for the clinical practice that will set the care provided at KCHC/Pillar Health head and shoulders above the rest?
This is a new role for KCHC/Pillar Health, and I am excited to be the inaugural staff member selected for this. My vision is for us to take our accumulated wealth of knowledge from patient care experiences and combine this with current evidence-based research while making sure our approach fits with the patient that is in front of us at that time. In healthcare one size does not fit all and we want to make sure we are incorporating evidence-based practice while maintaining the need for individualized care.

Always be proactive by anticipating what could happen next and follow that path to achieve a safe and healthy outcome for each patient.

Based on your work as a Clinical Educator, what are the indicators you look for in both clinical and support staff that show they fully understand their role and how it fits into the patient encounter?
My success as the Clinical Educator will be evidenced by compassionate, safe, effective, and thorough care given at each patient encounter, phone call received or placed, and each interaction with those patients who walk in the clinic for any needs.
