While conversations about men&#8217;s health often focus on physical fitness, heart health, blood pressure, cancer screenings, and annual checkups, mental health deserves equal attention because mental health <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">es<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> health.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At Pillar Health and Kenosha Community Health Center, we believe caring for the whole person means addressing both physical and emotional well-being. Yet, men&#8217;s mental health remains a critical public health concern that is often overlooked. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/suicide\/facts\/data.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to the CDC<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, males account for nearly 80% of suicide deaths in the United States and are approximately four times more likely to die by suicide than females. These statistics highlight the urgent need to reduce stigma, encourage open conversations, and connect men with support before reaching a crisis point.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Men&#8217;s Health Month serves as an important reminder that seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Talking with a trusted provider, counselor, friend, family member, or faith leader can be a powerful first step toward healing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mental health challenges can show up in many ways. For some men, symptoms may include sadness or withdrawal.
