Pillar Health’s Registered Nurse Tracey Holmes attributes her passion for healthcare and helping others to early childhood interactions.
“I was influenced at an early age to pursue a career in healthcare when my grandfather was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma,” shares Holmes.
She accredits her approach to patient care to her grandfather’s oncologist and care team. “They spoke to me, on a personal level, about the four MUST HAVES in healthcare: compassion, communication, continuity of care, and confidence in finding a way to make positive things happen,” said Holmes.
Instilling these attributes into her daily practice, Holmes works tirelessly to provide Care Coordination to newly established patients, touching base on every part of their appointment: pre-visit, during, and follow-up.
According to Holmes, her “attention to detail, habit of asking exhaustive questions, and quick wit have nurtured a long, rewarding nursing career.” Her proactive patient care philosophy helps her anticipate potential questions and focuses on following that path to achieve a healthy outcome for each patient.
Pillar Health patients can look forward to a purposeful visit with Holmes, with over 34 years of experience and extensive education from Eastern Kentucky University and Northern Kentucky University. She is dedicated to helping her patients with her fact-finding process and always with “a bright smiling face with an easy laugh!”
