Provider Spotlight: Cienna Hopkins
When did you start at KCHC?
2020
What areas do you specialize in?
As a Physician Assistant (PA), I do not have an area of specialty; however, I believe in keeping it straightforward and providing all-encompassing quality care for every one of my patients. As a COVID-19 Vaccine Provider, I specialize in directing traffic, saving lives, and making the process as easy as possible while the patient stays in the comfort of their car for the whole process.
Why did you choose your position at KCHC?
I am quite fortunate that I’ve always known what I wanted to do when I grew up. Ever since I was little, I told my parents that “I’m going to be a baby doctor.” In high school, I researched the medical field more and found that the PA position was the one for me.
During my training, I participated in rotations in the following areas of medicine: Psychiatry (memory focused), OBGYN, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Hospitalist, Primary Care in FQHC, International Medicine in Tanzania, and Surgery.
Community Involvement or Hobbies Outside KCHC:
I am a big outdoor enthusiast! I love to run, bike, hike, and just enjoy the fresh air. I am always up for an adventure of any type. I enjoy spending time with my partner and our newest four-legged family member, Denali, a four-month-old German Shorthaired Pointer.
Why did you choose to work for Kenosha Community Health Center, Inc.? I am a National Health Corp Scholar and KCHC was a FQHC that met my scholarship requirements. Nevertheless, I know I ended up exactly where I am supposed to be!
